In 2009, Dawn was introduced to CranioSacral Therapy and began training with Dr. Nancy Soliven, DC, MD, of Integrative Bodywork Institute. Her interest blossomed after seeing remarkable symptomatic relief in her mother's and daughter's chronic health conditions. Dawn completed her Diplomat level CranioSacral Therapy certification in 2011.
Dawn taught Bradley Method® natural childbirth classes and provided doula care for 14 years, and is passionate about working with growing families. She completed advanced certification through the Institute of Somatic Therapy in pregnancy, labor, and infant massage in 2011. Dawn previously volunteered as a La Leche League International leader supporting breastfeeding moms and babies. See our events page for information on our quarterly free community infant massage classes.
Past healthcare experience includes several years working as a CNA and nursing student, primarily assisting patients and their families through severe chronic illness, brain injury, and at the end of life.
Dawn strongly believes that our bodies were beautifully designed with amazing self-healing capabilities and loves to empower people to get in touch with their own wellness potential through the science and art of massage, bodywork, and self-care with therapeutic essential oil usage.Dawn married her best friend, Steve, in 1988. Their lives are abundantly blessed with three amazing children. She is a lifelong Fox Valley resident who enjoys gardening, camping, walking her dogs, reading, and of course, receiving massage and bodywork, in her free time.
